Scope of Services and Description of Duties :

 

MEA is planning to construct a complete underground substation in Klong Toey district, Bangkok to interface with the existing and future distribution network. The underground substation is the first pilot project in Thailand. The purpose is to minimize future land use in the congested Bangkok area, minimize noise disturbance to neighboring resident and enhance public safety as well as environmental image. The project consists mainly of a complete four-story underground building about 22 m deep, four 115/69/24 kV – 60 MVA power transformers, 115 & 69 kV switchgear and complete substation automation and control systems, fire safety and building services systems, 115 & 69 kV duct bank connecting with the existing distribution and future network.

 

ATT Consultants Co., Ltd. and Electricite? de France had been assigned to perform the detailed design, cost estimation, tender document preparation and construction supervision of Klong Toey Underground Substation.
